
Active Media has updates its SSD series for Asus Eee PC S101, 900, 900A, and 901. The SaberTooth S3 SSDs provides read speeds up to 95MB/sec and write speeds up to 70MB/sec. Available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB sizes, the device fits in the Eee PC’s Mini PCIe card slot. Active Media is selling the 32GB and 64GB modules through Amazon for $89.95 and $159.95, respectively.

MSI is out with another one of its ultraportable notebook in the form of the X610. Measuring a mere 1-inch at its thickest and 6mm at its thinnest, the notebook sports the latest power efficient AMD Athlon Neo processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 graphics card, a 15.6-inch TFT-LCD display, up to 4GB RAM, up to 640GB hard drive, a 1.3MP webcam, a DVD burner, an optional Blu-ray drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 6/9 cell battery and Windows Vista OS. No details on pricing and availability just yet.

The Samsung SCH-B900 is the company’s latest touchscreen phone for the South Korean market. The handset offers a 3-inch touchscreen display with 240 x 400 resolution, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a 3MP camera, a voice control, DMB TV, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), GPS, Bluetooth, a 960 mAh battery and supports CDMA/EV-DO connectivity. The Samsung SCH-B900 will be available soon in korea via SK Telecom for unannounced price yet.

Pong Research Company’s new cell phone case claims to reduce mobile phone radiation from the antenna thanks to the use of its tight silicone skin. The skin contains a proprietary technology module that is aligned with the phone’s antenna and attracts the radiative energy up and away from the user’s head. The user will still maintain a full-strength signal without compromising the cell phone’s battery life or functionality. According to tests conducted by the Federal Communications Commission, radiation levels have been reduced by up to 60%, while the hotspot cell phone radiation is down by 85%. The case is currently available only for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS for $59.95 a pop. The Blackberry and other models will be available later this year.[

Samsung is preparing to launch its new dual slider phone called the M3310. The handset is basically a music phone that offers a QVGA TFT display with 65k colors, an alphanumeric keypad, music control keys, a 3.2MP camera, an FM radio, a 40MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.

iRiver has announced the successor to its NV Mini portable navigation device by releasing the NV Mini Bike Edition. Unlike its predecessor, the bike edition comes with a sturdy bike mount kit, a scaled-up touchscreen UI designed to accommodate gloved fingers, no integrated DMB TV tuner and a new firmware that measures stats like ride time, speed, distance and calories burnt. Apart from that, it also sports a 3.5-inch 320 x 240 touchscreen, GPS with POI (points of interests) functionality, a media player, integrated speakers, an SDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack and runs on Windows CE 5.0 OS. The NV Mini Bike Edition is now available in Korea for 188,000 KRW (about $156).

Sony Ericsson today unveiled the first motion activated headphones in the world. The Sony Ericsson MH907 adopts the SensMe Control technology that responds without a single press of a button. You just place the two headphones in your ear to start listening to music. If you want to pause the music, you can remove one ear bud, and to start listening to the music again just place it in your ear. The Sony Ericsson MH907 Motion Activated Headphones will be available in a range of colors, including yellow/white and chrome.
