Measuring only 53mm x 97mm x 17mm and weighing just 95 grams, this compact camera sports an 8-megapixel sensor for taking digital still images, a 2-inch LCD display, an SD/SDHC memory card slot, an HDMI output and has the capability to record 1080p HD video at 2.03-megapixel in MPEG-4 or AVC/H.254 format. If you are searching for a new rugged camcorder, Samsung has unveiled the SC-X105L sports camcorder that comes with the rubber-coated encasement. This camcorder is also HD ready with a 720×480 format and has an internal memory of 1GB. Other features include a 10X optical zoom, a 100X digital zoom, and a 2-inch LCD screen. The Samsung SC-X105L is priced at $600 each.

Active Media has updates its SSD series for Asus Eee PC S101, 900, 900A, and 901. The SaberTooth S3 SSDs provides read speeds up to 95MB/sec and write speeds up to 70MB/sec. Available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB sizes, the device fits in the Eee PC’s Mini PCIe card slot. Active Media is selling the 32GB and 64GB modules through Amazon for $89.95 and $159.95, respectively.

The Samsung SCH-B900 is the company’s latest touchscreen phone for the South Korean market. The handset offers a 3-inch touchscreen display with 240 x 400 resolution, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a 3MP camera, a voice control, DMB TV, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), GPS, Bluetooth, a 960 mAh battery and supports CDMA/EV-DO connectivity. Toshiba has collaborated with Ducati to release the Camelia S10 Ducati Edition camcorder. The video recorder comes jam packed with a 5-megapixel sensor and can record video at 1080p. The Toshiba Camelia S10 Ducati Edition also supports a 4GB card which can hold up to 60-minutes of video. You can also upload your recorded videos directly to Youtube. The Camelia S10 Ducati camcorder also has a 2.5-inch TFT screen, but sadly there is no HDMI port.

Panasonic has released a firmware update version 1.1 for its Lumix G Vario 45-200mm F4.0-5.6 OIS Micro Four Thirds lens. The update “enhances several aspects of the lens’s operation, including continuous autofocus while shooting stills, and autofocus and image stabilization performance in movie mode.” The update is now available for download via Panasonic’s official website.
