
Korean-based company, Qumo is gearing up to release another HD-capable portable media player for the Russian market namely the Qumo Vision HD. Coming in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, these PMPs offer a 4.3-inch display with 800 x 480 pixels, an FM-tuner, an FM-transmitter, a voice recorder, an image browser, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a USB 2.0 interface, a TV-out, a 3.5mm headphone jack and are capable of playing HD-quality video (720p, 1280×720 pixels) without conversion. These player also support most audio and video formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, AVI, ASF, MP4, FLV, RM and RMVB, and come with a rechargeable battery that can last up to 21 hours of audio playback or up to 6 hours of video playback. The Qumo Vision HD is scheduled to be released in October for unannounced price yet.

Unlike regular pens, the Spy Nanny Pen Cam combines a camcorder, a voice recorder, a flash drive and a writing pen into one package. This pocket-sized device records video at 352 x 288 resolution in AVI format and comes with an 8GB of storage for holding approximately 40 hours of video. It also features a rechargeable battery that can last up to 2 hours of use time. If you’re interested, the Spy Nanny Pen Cam will set you back $39.95.

Dell has finally launched its CULV-based laptop ‘Inspiron 11z‘ in the UK. This ultra-thin machine is available for a base price of £349 with configurations as follow: an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 HD TFT display, a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron ULV 743 processor, an Intel GS45 Integrated graphics, a 1.3MP webcam, a 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, WiFi and Windows Vista Home Basic OS.

This compact player also integrates an FM radio, a voice recorder and supports both multiple formats as well as bit rates. The Centon 4GB Craze MP3 Player retails for only $28.50.

Philips’ new Xenium K700 is actually a Portable Media Player and cell phone combo. The gadget has a 2.9-inch TFT touchscreen display with a 3.2MP camera, a 40 MB internal memory, a microSD slot(up to 8GB), Bluetooth, USB, a radio with RDS, a 3.5 mm audio jack and supports DivX, FLV, AVI, and MP3 file formats. The Philips Xenium K700 also provides up to 4-hours of video playback and 25-hours of audio playback. No word on pricing or availability so far.

HP is now taking pre-orders for its upcoming HP Mini 311 Netbook. At just $399, you’ll get yourself an 11.6-inch LCD display, an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, a NVIDIA Ion chipset, a 1GB RAM, a 160GB of HDD, WiFi, Bluetooth, an optional 3G connection from AT&T, Sprint or Verizon, an HDMI output and Windows XP Home Edition OS.

Alexander Amosu comes back with his latest creation in the form of the Amosu BlackBerry that is crafted in solid 18 carat yellow gold and encrusted with 4,459 brilliant cut diamonds for a total of 28.43 carats. There will only be three of these diamond-encrusted BlackBerrys in the world. Each of them will retail for a hefty $200,366.

Vertu has finally released their first clamshell handset for the mass market. The Vertu Constellation F Ayxta features GPS, 3G HSDPA, a MicroSD card support, a 3MP camera with dual LED flash, and City Brief that provides “restaurant recommendations, the latest exhibitions, shopping guides and important cultural etiquette tips.” The Ayxta was made from expensive materials including stainless steel, ceramic, leather, sapphire crystal (for the display) and aerospace grade aluminum parts. The price ranges from €4,900 ($7,198) to €6,500 ($9,548).
