Nokia has unveiled their latest clamshell phone namely the Nokia 7020, which is the reminiscent of the Supernova series. This fashion phone comes equipped with a 2.2-inch TFT display with 240 x 320 resolution, an external display with 128 x 160 resolution, 2MP camera, a 45MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, an MP3/MPEG-4 player, a stereo FM radio and a standard Li-Ion 860 mAh battery. The phone will be available in Q4 2009 for 90 Euros ($121).

Philips has added a new member to its Xenium series with the introduction of Philips X550. This new candybar phone offers a QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP autofocus camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), an FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to one month in stand-by mode. Sadly, the X550 doesn’t have any 3G connectivity, it only supports GPRS and EDGE for data transfers, so it might not be sold in the US. Pricing and availability are still unknown at the moment.

Nokia has officially announced the availability of the N97 NAM in the US market. They will release the phone on June 2nd, 2009. You can also expect many of the U.S. retailers to sell the Nokia N97 NAM for around $600 even if the suggested price is $699. The cell phone features a 5MP camera, a touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, a GPS, and a long battery life.

Sharp will release the Solar 936SH and 934SH cell phones in the Japanese market via SoftBank. The 934SH (pictured left) comes jam packed with a 3-inch external display that can display time, date, weather, news, and other information. The handset also boasts an 8MP digital camera, a waterproof shell, and a UV sensor.

The Solar Hybrid 936SH (pictured right) supports IPX7 water resistance, a full wide VGA display, and an 8MP digicam. What makes the Sharp 936SH cool is that the phone has a big solar panel in the front that will provide you one minute of call time or two hours of standby per 10 minutes of charging. The Sharp Solar 936SH and 934SH will be released in June and August, respectively. No word on pricing so far.

Nokia has announced their new slider phone, the Nokia 6600i, which is actually the successor of the Nokia 6600 slide that was launched about a year ago. The main difference between the 6600 slide and 6600i slide is that the new phone comes packed with a 5MP camera with dual LED flash, meanwhile, the old phone only comes with a 3.2MP camera. This new phone is also touted as Nokia’s smallest 5 megapixel slider with a relatively affordable price of just €200 ($271). The Nokia 6600i slide will hit the market starting Q3 2009 and will be shipped with a 1GB card along with a Nokia stereo headset WH-203 with FM radio in the box.

Samsung has announced the availability of the Samsung i8910 HD or also known as the Omnia HD in the UK via Orange. The Symbian S60-powered handset has a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen (640 x 360 pixels) LCD display, a superb 8MP camera, and an modified TouchWiz 3D implementation that works in the S60 environment. You can buy the Samsung i8910 HD for £97.50($151) on a £35($54) monthly plan.

Verizon is set to launch another candybar phone from LG namely the LG Glance VX7100 on June 5. This super slim handset works on CDMA with 1xRTT connectivity and features a 2-inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 resolution, a 1.3MP camera, GPS, VZ navigator-capable, a 2.5mm headset jack, a speakerphone and Bluetooth connectivity. The LG Glance VX7100 will be sold in two different options, either for $49.99 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate or for $219.99 without any contract agreement.

In addition, the handset is also T-Mobile myFaves enabled and features instant messaging onboard, which includes Yahoo! Messenger, AIM and Windows Live Messenger. The Samsung SGH-t349 is now available for purchase on T-Mobile USA’s website for a retail price of $149.99, or for only $14.99 with a 2-year contract agreement with T-Mobile.
